At the 2016 ARCS Scientific Conference in Sydney it was announced that as of 2017 an annual award will be given in honour of our much missed friend, Katrina Campion.
Katrina was a long standing friend and supporter of ARCS and made tireless contributions over the decades to our association, community and far beyond. Under Katrina's leadership, she created a sense of equilibrium in the ARCS membership. Despite diverse backgrounds, she demonstrated that our industry challenges could be tackled with a united front and that our diversity could be a strength.
Katrina's achievements go far beyond her contributions to ARCS. Her passion for supporting others - particularly young professionals - is deserving of high praise and recognition. The ARCS Board of Directors consulted closely with those who worked closely with Katrina and feel it is befitting of someone who has had such a profound impact on our organisation to honour her legacy through a perpetual scholarship.
The programme will be awarded to an inspiring young professional to provide financial and professional support throughout the following 12 month period to facilitate the winner’s ongoing development to reach their full potential.
More details about the application process will be forthcoming soon and ARCS will proudly announce the inaugural winner at the 2017 ARCS Scientific Congress.
